Strange race. Difficult race. In all the classes, the riders had to deal with tricky conditions. It was difficult to find what the limit was. In the 125 class 18 riders crashed, and only 15 finished. But all the riders, in all the categories, had to face one of the most difficult race of the last years. Aoyama, who arrived in France as leader of the 250 Championship, is still second just one point from the first place. Yuki Takahashi (MotoGP) 13th: "I never competed in a race similar to this. Tricky conditions, and difficult GP. My start, on the wet, was not great but when I got my rhythm I was able to overtake a few competitors. In the second part of the GP, after the pit stop, the feeling with the bike got worse. And it was not easy to keep concentrated". Raffaele De Rosa (250cc) 6th: "On a track in this condition, a mistake was very easy. With a better start, I could stay with the guys in front of me. But I had a bad one. I understood that was not the day to risk too much. I did not want to waste everything - so, I did my best to collect points and make experience in such tricky conditions". Hiroshi Aoyama (250cc) 8th: "The bike was good, and good were the tyres. But, for some reason, I did not get a good feeling from it. Probably, because of the track conditions. Twice I was on the verge of a crash. So, I decided not to risk over the limit. I tried to get all the possible points, and I went for the finish".
