GP DEUTSCHLAND - Gara

The Sachsenrig hosts often tough races. This year was not exception, adding to it a bad weather which complicated the life of rider and teams. Nevertheless, Gabor Talmacsi got his first point in the MotoGP class, Aoyama brushed the podium and retained his leadership in the 250 championship, while Raffaele De Rosa, his teammate, starting 18th, was able to cross the finish line in 9th position. He's in the group of three riders - to have gained points in each race, this season.

Gabor Talmacsi (MotoGP) 15th: "I got my first point in MotoGP, today. And I'm happy for that. It is something that will stay in my record. Nevertheless, we want to progress further more. May be I overrode, but I had some problems with the front tyre, and from a certain moment on I could not keep in contact with my group. So I tried to find a good rhythm and go as fast as I could. But I'm confident: we all have the same target: to fight for good positions. We have simply to work hard".

Hiroshi Aoyama (250cc) 4th: "This was a really critical race. Two starts, the choice of tyres between the two, many crashes... keeping concentration was quite difficult. In the beginning, and during the middle part of the race, I was able to catch up, and to get a good position. Bautista tried several times to pass me. I was able to resist until the last kilometers - he was faster than me, and I had to surround. About one thing I'm certain: if this were a full distance race, the story would be different".

Raffaele De Rosa (250cc) 9th: "Mixed feelings. Happy and not so happy at the same time. I had some critical moments in the beginning of the race. Anyway, starting 18th and finishing 9th is not that bad. The bike was OK, in spit of the fact that the weather did not grant us much time to work on the dry. The front tyre degraded very quickly".

Emanule Ventura (Technical Director): "As far as MotoGP is concerned, it is a complex situation. Gabor has a good potential, and in Laguna Seca we had found a few technical solutions that appeared to go in the right direction. Today, his front-tyre deteriorated quickly, and we have to analyze the situation to understand why. Was it because of the setup? Or the asphalt, or the temperature? We have to understand whether the way we entered in Laguna Seca is correct, or we have to revise some aspects of it.  Hiro is correct: our Honda his highly competitive when we assert our package in a longer race. This one was shortened, unfortunately, due to the weather: a better result was impossible.  We are happy about De Rosa's race: the first part of the race, when his tank is full, is still the most difficult moment, for him. Nevertheless, he's steadily progressing, he was able to fight the best riders. He's going to get the result he deserves".
