U.S. GP - Laguna Seca - Qualifying session |
|

For the first time, the "corkscrew" Laguna Seca is, probably, the most difficult GP of the season, for Gabor Talmacsi. It's a track different from any other, and therefore difficult for everybody. Even more difficult for the Hungarian competing for Team Scot, as he never raced here - 125 and 250 bikes in the last years have not been part of the program. So, it was with great curiosity that Gabor Talmacsi tackled the most famous track of the Usa. And the well-known "corkscrew" corner. Gabor Talmacsi (1'24"528 - 17th): "It is a challenging track - you can never relax. I'm satisfied with the free practises, as I was able to improve lap after lap, and session after session. I had a few problems in qualifying with the tyres. I saw it was difficult for everybody. We have some ideas for tomorrow: we will test them during the warm-up, to improve our performance in the race". Emanuele Ventura (Technical Director): "In spite of a higher temperature, this afternoon Gabor's feeling with the tyres was not as good as it was in the morning. Anyway, he has been able to collect precious data that we are going to use to improve our set-up tomorrow, in the warm-up".
