The rain began to fall precisely at the beginning of the 250 class. The Scot riders, who on Saturday found a good feeling with the bike and the track - Yuki got his best placement - had to fight in tricky conditions. Hiroshi leaves Mugello second in the Championship points, only seven points behind the leader. He and his teammate, Raffaele De Rosa, are in the small group of riders - only five - who got points at every GP, in the 250 class.
Hiroshi Aoyama (250cc) - 6th:
"Tricky conditions, but less problematic than in Le Mans. In the first part of the race I could push. In the second I had some trouble with the engine. I was slower than before, and lap after lap I lost a few positions. Nevertheless, we improved, and I'm satisfied about this. We certainly can do well in the next races".
Raffaele De Rosa (250cc) - 9th:
"A dry race would be better. We, as anybody else, had to find a setting right on the grid. In the race, my aim was to finish and get as many points as possible. From mid race I had a good rhythm and overtook a few riders, but the gap with the ones in front at that point was to wide".
Yuki Takahashi (MotoGP) – nc:
"On Saturday, on the dry, we had an excellent set-up. On the wet, on Sunday, we struggled a bit. I came in to change bike when the team call me, then I went out again. Maybe the tyres were too cold, or maybe I push too much - anyway, I crashed. I'm really sorry for my crew and team”.
