Perfection is not something you can achieve in this world, but the Scot Racing Team can be quite satisfied for Hiroshi Aoyama's performance, today at Sepang. At the end of a tough battle that saw the Japanise rider attacking since the very first metres, Hiroshi got a precious victory which enhances his leadership to 21 points over the second classified competitor. With just one race to go, it will be Valencia, in a fortnight, to host the decisive race for the championship. A championship that has been one of the toughest in the last years. The victory, together with the pole position and the fastest lap – the Japanise did not leave anything to others - has been the best gift for Hiroshi's birthday - 28 years old today. Hiroshi Aoyama (250cc, 1st): "More than happy. We've been competitive all the weekend; I tried to get the front and then open a gap, but they did not let me go. A very physical race, at the beginning and in the middle part of it. Then, in the last fraction, I realized that my tire were in better condition. So I passed in front, and went full throttle. That was the winning move. A tough race, but I enjoy such kinds of competitions. It would be better if it were not so hot... I'm really tired. All I want, now, is to rest. Before, I wish to express my gratitude to the team: they gave me a great bike, I tried to make the best out of it. See you in Valencia". Raffaele De Rosa (N.C.): "What can I say? I suffered a mechanical problem - an engine problem - in the warm-up lap. My hope was that the consequences were not too severe, but they were. So, I had to quit". Gabor Talmacsi (MotoGP, 14th): "A good start, and then the every-race chaos at the first corners, and several people making several errors. The usual stuff. With all that water on the track, the first part of the race was difficult because of the poor grip. Lap by lap, the situation improved, and my pace was at the same level of the people competing for the tenth/eleventh position. But catching up was too much, as I was racing alone. I want to congratulate Valentino Rossi: nine times world champion. Great". Emanuele Ventura (Technical Director): "Hiro, in my opinion, put up his best race of the season. Pure adrenaline. In the garage as well. Raffaele was so unlucky: a part of the engine, tested and controlled thousand times, broke precisely in the warm-up lap. Nothing could be done to help him. I'm pleased about Gabor, who, at the end, was able to keep the same pace of competitors well ahead of him". Alberto Martinelli (Sporting Director): "Great race by Hiroshi. After two races run a little bit too much on the defensive side, he went back to his usual all-attack style, and this paid off. His companion, Raffaele, had a horrible unlucky weekend. He deserved something better, after showing what he's capable of in the last races. OK Gabor: it took him a little bit of time to get the same pace of riders in front of him, but then he was able to keep it. He's progressing".
